Our view of the service

Care Outlook Oxford is a domiciliary care agency. They provide personal care to people living in their own homes. Not everyone who used the service received personal care. CQC only inspects where people receive personal care. This is help with tasks related to personal hygiene and eating. Where they do, we also consider any wider social care provided. At the time of the inspection 92 people were receiving personal care. We looked at 7 quality statements: Learning culture, Involving people to manage risks, Safe and effective staffing, Responding to people’s immediate needs, Person centred care, Freedom to speak up and Governance and assurance.

People's experience of this service

People were protected from known risks. The provider had assessed and put mitigating strategies into place for most hazards. People were involved in the review of their care plans. People were supported by staff who knew them and who had been appropriately trained and safely recruited. Staff turned up on time. The provider had a good oversight of the service and was able to monitor and improve the quality of the service. People, staff and relatives had been asked to feedback on the service.
