During a routine inspection
During our visit we spoke with the relatives of four people who used the service. People told us they were very happy with the care which was provided. One relative said, "Whoever is training staff they are doing a good job. All the carers have been exceptionally good. They have looked after my mum very well. I had heard some horror stories and didn't know what to expect, but they have made a real difference."
We reviewed four care records and saw that people's preferences and care needs had been well documented. We spoke with two members of staff. Staff were knowledgeable about the care needs of the people who used the service and what they should do to support them.
The provider had made suitable arrangements to protect vulnerable people from the risk of abuse. We saw processes were in place to ensure staff were of good character and qualified to work within the service.
The provider had an effective system to regularly assess and monitor the quality of service people received.
