Key findings

We carried out this assessment from 10 to 16 July 2026. This service was previously rated as good. We carried out this assessment to confirm whether the rating of good remains accurate. This report does not provide detailed information on areas where we found practice continues to meet a good standard.

People received good-quality care from staff who had a good understanding of their needs and were motivated in their roles. The provider had completed some very positive work to support people to remain independent in their own homes and reduce the risks associated with social isolation.

Staff had a good understanding of people's individual needs and how best practice in areas such as dementia care could support people to live well with their condition. Staff received appropriate training and ongoing support in their roles. Senior staff demonstrated a good understanding of their regulatory responsibilities and had invested time and effort in creating a positive, community-focused atmosphere within the service.

The provider worked with people to adjust care levels as their needs changed. For example, care was increased following hospital discharge and reduced when people regained their health and independence, or when it was safe and appropriate to do so. The provider understood its responsibilities for safeguarding people from abuse and avoidable harm.

The provider had effective systems in place to oversee the quality and safety of the service. This included auditing care records and engaging with people and staff to identify what was working well and where improvements could be made. Plans were also in place to mitigate risks associated with emergency situations, including maintaining a continuous senior staff presence and ensuring staff responded promptly to people's call bell requests.
