During a routine inspection

We spoke with four people using the service on the day of our inspection. All of the people we spoke with were positive about their experiences of using the service. One person said, 'I come every six months. I've never tried anywhere else. There's no need as I'm quite happy with the care and treatment'. Another person told us, 'Staff are very good'. We spoke to another person who was using the practice for the first time, in an emergency. They told us how they had contacted the practice that morning and had been able to get an appointment quickly to see a dentist.

People we spoke with told us staff discussed their treatment options with them. One person said, 'What's very good here is that if something is going to cost you money, you get it all printed out for you' and 'They're very good at explaining what treatment I will get. The dentist will talk through each step of the treatment with you'.

We looked at the records of people using the service. We saw people had treatment plans which set out their treatment needs and costs. From records kept by staff we noted people received the treatment that was planned.

People told us the environment was clean and tidy. One person said, 'It looks nice here. It's clean which feels positive'.

We saw the provider undertook regular audits to monitor and review the quality and safety of the service provided.
