Our view of the service

Date of Assessment: 18 March to 19 March 2026.

Peartree Practice is a GP practice and delivers services to approximately 19,323 people under a contract held with NHS England. Information published by Office for Health Improvement and Disparities shows deprivation in the service population group is in the 4th decile (4 out of 10). The lower the decile, the more deprived the service population is relative to others. This assessment considered the demographics of the people using the service, the context the service was working in and how this impacted service delivery. Where relevant, further commentary is provided in the quality statements section of this report.

This assessment covered 3 quality statements within the Safe, and Well-led key questions to follow up on previous breaches of regulation from our inspection in July 2025.

The service now had a good learning culture and people could raise concerns. Leaders now investigated incidents thoroughly keeping people protected and safe. Staff understood and managed risks. There were enough staff with the right skills, qualifications and experience. Leaders now made sure staff received training and regular appraisals to maintain high-quality care.

Leaders and staff now had a shared vision and culture based on listening, learning and trust. Leaders were visible, knowledgeable and supportive, helping staff develop in their roles. Staff understood their roles and responsibilities. There was a culture of continuous improvement with staff now given time and resources to try new ideas.

Since the last assessment, the service had made improvements and is no longer in breach of the legal regulations relating to lack of notifications to CQC, good governance and fit and proper persons employed.

People's experience of this service

People were positive about the quality of their care and treatment. Recent survey results, including from the National GP Patient Survey and the NHS Friends and Family Test, showed people were satisfied with services. Results from the 2025 National GP Patient Survey were in line with national averages. For example, 90% of people who used the service consider their needs were met during their last GP appointment. Feedback gathered by the service was positive and people said staff treated them with kindness and respect. People said clinicians listened, explained their options clearly and involved them in decisions. However, people described access as mixed, with some obtaining appointments easily while others experienced delays at busy times, though non‑digital alternatives were available.
