Caring
We looked for evidence the service involved people and treated them with compassion, kindness, dignity and respect. At our last inspection, we rated this key question as Good. At this inspection, the rating remains the same.
This service scored 80 (out of 100) for this area. Find out what we look at when we assess this area and How we calculate these scores.
Kindness, compassion and dignity
The practice was exceptional at treating people with kindness, empathy and compassion and in how they respected people's privacy and dignity.
The practice had arrangements to promote people’s privacy and dignity. The practice performed better than the national averages in the results of the 2025 National GP Patient Survey.
This showed people felt listened to and felt they were treated with kindness. For example:
- 95% of respondents to the survey felt the healthcare professional at their last appointment was good at treating them with care and concern, compared to a national average of 86%.
- 95% of respondents to the survey felt the healthcare professional at their last appointment was good at listening to them, compared to a national average of 87%.
The survey also highlighted how helpful and supportive the reception and administrative team were, for example:
- 96% of respondents to the survey said the reception and administrative team were helpful, compared to a national average of 83%.
This was mirrored in feedback from people who provided feedback during our inspection, including a patient who described staff following their last appointment as “efficient and friendly as ever!”. Furthermore, results and comments recorded in the National Friends and Family test that we viewed from March to May 2026 also echoed this positive feedback, with people commenting that staff were “friendly”, “kind”, “supportive” and “reassuring”.
