This service scored 80 (out of 100) for this area. Find out what we look at when we assess this area and How we calculate these scores.

Kindness, compassion and dignity

Score: 4

The service was exceptional at treating people with kindness, empathy and compassion and in how they respected people’s privacy and dignity. Staff always treated colleagues from other organisations with kindness and respect.

The service had arrangements to promote people’s privacy. For example, a dedicated privacy room. The service performed better than the national average in the results of the 2025 National GP Patient Survey. All of the 5 indicators we looked at relating to caring were above, or significantly above, the national averages. For example, 98% of respondents to the survey felt the healthcare professional at their last appointment was good at treating them with care and concern, compared with the national average of 86%. The percentage of respondents to the GP patient survey who responded positively to their overall experience of the practice was 99% which was significantly above the national average of 75%.

This was mirrored in feedback received by the CQC. Three people were extremely positive about their experience of the practice and told us staff were always friendly, helpful and amazing. Feedback gathered through the Friends and Family test was overwhelmingly positive regarding the care people received. People used words such as very friendly, respectful, efficient, helpful, kind, understanding and compassionate to describe the staff working at the practice and the service they provided.

On the day of our assessment, we observed staff showing kindness and empathy to patients. We observed 2 members of staff going the extra mile to provide help to a patient.
