During an assessment under our new approach
Date of Inspection: 21 – 22 January 2026. Wychwood Surgery is a GP practice and delivers services to approximately 6200 patients under a contract held with NHS England. The practice has a very low indication of deprivation compared to the national average and the vast majority of patients identify as white (97%). Information published by Office for Health Improvement and Disparities shows that deprivation within the practice population group is in the 10th decile (out of 10). The lower the decile, the more deprived the practice population is relative to others. This inspection considered the demographics of the people using the service and this impacted on the context the service was working within and how this impacted service delivery. This was a comprehensive inspection of Wychwood Surgery to provide an updated rating for the location. The service had not been inspected since 2015 when it was rated Good. At this inspection, we assessed 33 quality statements across all 5 key questions: safe, effective, caring, responsive, and well-led.
