Date of assessment 29 April 2025 to 30 April 2025. Crawley Road Medical Centre is a GP practice located in Leyton, East London. The practice delivers primary care to 10,000 patients under a contract held with NHS England. The National General Practice Profiles states that the ethnic make-up of the practice area is 49% White, 16% Black, 24% Asian, 6% Mixed and 6% Other. Information published by Office for Health Improvement and Disparities shows that deprivation within the practice population group is in the fourth decile (four of 10). The lower the decile, the more deprived the practice population is relative to others.

The practice is registered with the Care Quality Commission to carry on the regulated activities of family planning, treatment of disease, disorder or injury and diagnostic and screening procedures.

The practice is open between 8am to 6.30pm Monday to Friday. On Thursday afternoons, the practice phone lines are diverted to the local federation. The practice offers a range of appointment types including book on the day, telephone consultations, advance appointments and home visits.

Extended access is provided locally by an external hub, where late evening and weekend appointments are available.

This assessment followed up on breaches identified during the inspection on 3 and 9 May 2023. We found that the practice had addressed most of our previous concerns, resulting in improvements.

The assessment comprised of two elements: an off-site assessment on 29 April 2025 and an on-site assessment on 30 April 2025.

People's experience of the service

Updated 19 June 2025

Feedback from patients and staff was mainly positive about the practice. The practice’s results from the GP Patient Survey carried out from January to March 2024, showed it was in line with the local and national averages, and 86% of the respondents felt their healthcare professional was good or very good at listening to them. The patients we spoke with told us they had timely access to care and treatment. There was an active patient participation group (PPG) who represented the views of people using the practice.
