Date of Assessment: 26 November to 5 December. Northdown Surgery now referred to as Northdown and Dashwood Surgery is a GP practice and delivers service to approximately 25,000 patients under a single contract held with NHS England. They have one branch surgery Dashwood, 158-160 Grange Road, Ramsgate, Kent CT11 9PR. The National General Practice Profiles states that the patient population is predominately white accounting for 91%, the majority of their patients are of working age. Information published by Office for Health Improvement and Disparities shows that deprivation within the practice population group is in the 1 decile (1 of 10). The lower the decile, the more deprived the practice population is relative to others. This assessment considered the demographics of the people using the service, the context the service was working within and how this impacted service delivery.
