We looked for evidence the service involved people and treated them with compassion, kindness, dignity and respect. At our last assessment, we rated this key question as good. At this assessment, the rating remains the same.

Kindness, compassion and dignity

Score: 3

The service always treated people with kindness, empathy and compassion and respected their privacy and dignity. Data from the National GP Patient Survey showed that 78% of respondents were positive about their overall experience of their GP practice, in line with the national average of 75%.

The service had arrangements to promote people’s privacy. Staff treated colleagues from other organisations with kindness and respect. Data from the National GP Patient Survey showed that 87% of respondents stated that during their last appointment, the healthcare professional was very good or fairly good at treating them with care and concern, in line with the national average of 86%.

We received 4 completed Give Feedback on Care forms/comments, a way for the public to share their experiences about services with the CQC. Feedback was mixed and comments included ‘excellent service, completed triage form and seen the same day’, ’reception staff not answering the telephone’, and ‘appointments running late and people not informed’.

The service had received 374 Friends and Family Test comments from January 2026 to date. The vast majority of these were positive. Comments indicated people who used the service felt they were listened to, were given clear explanations and staff were pleasant, polite, friendly and helpful.
