Kindness, compassion and dignity
The service treated people with kindness, empathy and compassion and respected their privacy and dignity.
National GP Patient Survey (2026) data reflected people felt listened to and were treated with kindness. For example, 91% of respondents stated that during their last appointment, the healthcare professional was good or very good at treating them with care and concern. This was above the national average of 86%. Additionally, 97.3% of people felt that during their last appointment, the healthcare professional was very good or fairly good at listening to them. This was above the national average of 87.1%.
Data from the Friends and Family Test (FFT) for the 3 months prior to our assessment, was positive. Between April and June 2026, 97% of people responding to the survey reported their overall experience was Good or Very Good. In July, 96% of people responding to the survey reported their overall experience was Good or Very Good.
Staff we spoke with understood there was a process to ensure young adults had control over their own privacy and the amount of involvement others had in managing their care and support. For example, staff told us that personal or medical information wasn’t provided to advocates unless documentation was provided to support this including the consent of the person.
The service had arrangements to promote people’s privacy and dignity. For example, staff were able to take people to a designated room if they were distressed.
