Kindness, compassion and dignity

Score: 3

The service treated people with kindness, empathy and compassion and respected their privacy and dignity. Staff treated colleagues from other organisations with kindness and respect.
The service had arrangements to promote people’s privacy including areas where people could discuss their concerns in private and movable privacy screens. There were privacy curtains in clinical rooms and staff could act as a chaperone where required.
During our site visit, we observed positive interactions between staff and people using the service. Friends and family test feedback was positive about staff interactions, with comments describing staff as kind, professional and supportive.
The service performed better than local and national averages in the 2025 National GP Patient Survey. This showed people felt listened to and were treated with kindness. For example, 89.5% of respondents said the healthcare professional at their last appointment was good at treating them with care and concern, compared with a national average of 86.9%.
