Kindness, compassion and dignity

Score: 3

The service always treated people with kindness, empathy and compassion and respected their privacy and dignity. Staff treated colleagues from other organisations with kindness and respect.

The service had arrangements to promote people’s privacy including a separate room next to the reception desk to discuss patient information for confidentiality. Chaperones were available when required, with posters displayed throughout the practice. The service performed better than the national average in the results of the 2026 National GP Patient Survey. This showed people felt listened to and felt they were treated with kindness. For example, 97% of to the survey said the last healthcare professional at their last appointment was good at treating them with care and concern, compared to the national average of 87%. This positivity was mirrored in feedback received from the PPG group staff listen to concerns and appropriate steps are put in place and there is capacity for confidential discussions if needed at the reception in a private room.
