This service scored 75 (out of 100) for this area. Find out what we look at when we assess this area and How we calculate these scores.

Kindness, compassion and dignity

Score: 3

The service always treated people with kindness, empathy and compassion and respected their privacy and dignity. Staff treated colleagues from other organisations with kindness and respect.

The service had arrangements to promote people’s privacy, which included access to private rooms/areas to discuss confidential issues. The service performed better than both local and national averages for responses to the 2025 National GP Patient Survey. This showed people felt listened to and felt they were treated with kindness and compassion. For example, 93% of respondents found the reception and administrative team at the practice helpful, compared to a local average of 84% and a national average of 83%.

We saw that patient confidentially was effectively managed at reception, with private rooms available to discuss personal issues if required, and distraction music being played in the waiting area. Conversations could not be overheard from consulting rooms.
