This service scored 75 (out of 100) for this area. Find out what we look at when we assess this area and How we calculate these scores.

Kindness, compassion and dignity

Score: 3

The service always treated patients with kindness, empathy and compassion and respected their privacy and dignity. Staff treated colleagues from other organisations with kindness and respect.

National GP patient survey data collected between January and March 2025 showed patient satisfaction was higher than national averages when respondents were asked questions relating to kindness, compassion and dignity. The percentage of respondents who answered positively were as follows: 97% said the healthcare professional at their last appointment was very good or fairly good at listening to them (national average was 86.9%); 94.9% said the healthcare professional at their last appointment was very good or fairly good at treating them with care and concern (national average was 85.6%); 97% said they had confidence and trust in the healthcare professional they saw or spoke to (national average was 92.5%); and 91% responded positively to the overall experience of their GP practice (national average was 75.4%)

The service had arrangements to promote patients’ privacy. The provider maintained a register of patients receiving palliative care who had continuity of care from one GP. All staff were made aware so these patients could be given priority access to appointments.

We spoke to patients and reviewed feedback collected by the practice. Feedback was positive about the service with patients referring to helpful, considerate staff who gave exceptional care.
