During a routine inspection
All the patients we spoke with told us they were happy with the care they received. Comments included 'the doctor goes that extra step, I feel listened to', 'the doctor gives me time to understand' and 'although there is a lot of locums I don't mind as they all explain what's wrong'.
All the staff we spoke to were able to give examples of the types of abuse they might come across through the course of their work. They all were clear about who they would report any concerns to.
Staff told us they received an annual appraisal where they discussed training opportunities. Staff said they had completed training, such as basic life support, health and safety, safeguarding and infection control. Other training was arranged according to job role.
Patients were given support by the provider to make a comment or complaint where they needed assistance. We saw there was a complaints and compliments box in the reception area. The reception staff told us they would point it out to all patients when they registered.
