During a routine inspection

We spoke with two people who used the service and they told us that they were happy with the service Social Care Solutions provided to them. They also told us that the staff were kind. We spoke with two people's relatives and one person told us "I'm quite happy with the staff and happy with the service. The staff keep me informed and [the person] comes to visit me. They are a good team". Another person's relative told us that they had no concerns or complaints and they were "absolutely pleased" with Social Care Solutions. They told us that their relative had developed their skills a lot since Social Care Solutions had been providing support and that staff encouraged the person to become independent.

We examined the care and support that was provided to people, the measures that were in place to deal with any safeguarding issues, the checks that were made on staff before they commenced their employment, the steps the provider took to obtain regular feedback and monitor quality assurance, and the procedures that were in place to record and respond to any complaints. We found some concerns with the systems that were in place to obtain regular feedback and the systems that were in place to act on quality assurance issues.
