Our view of the service
We undertook a follow-up on-site inspection on 20 August 2025. This was carried out to review the actions taken by the registered provider to improve the quality of care and to assess whether the practice was meeting legal requirements.
We had previously undertaken an announced on-site inspection of Smileright Dencare Limited-Basingstoke on 25 February 2025. We had found the registered provider was not providing safe and well-led care and was in breach of Regulations 12 Safe Care and Treatment, 19 Fit and Proper Persons Employed and 17 Good governance, of the Health and Social Care Act 2008 (Regulated Activities) Regulations 2014.
During our follow-up inspection, we found the practice had met regulations.
The practice had systems to manage risks.
Recruitment procedures reflected current legislation.
Infection control procedures followed published guidance.
Patients’ care and treatment was provided in line with current guidance.
Patients were treated with dignity and respect.
At the time of our inspection, we found that patients could access care, support and treatment when required.
There was effective leadership and a culture of continuous improvement.
The practice is in Basingstoke and provides private dental care and treatment for adults and children.
There was step-free access to the practice, via a customer lift. Car parking spaces were available, including dedicated parking for disabled people, within the multi-story car park near the practice.
The practice had 2 treatment rooms, a third was not in use.At the time of our inspection, there was a total of 8 staff employed, of which there were 3 dentists, 3 dental nurses, the practice manager and a cleaner. During the inspection we spoke with 1 dentist and the practice manager.
