We conducted this assessment because we received information of concern. Other intelligence held by Care Quality Commission indicated that the overall risk category was high. We assessed all quality statements across the safe, effective, caring, responsive and well led key questions. The provider was last inspected in 2018 and received a rating of good overall. At this assessment we rated the practice good overall.
Dr Lalit Gurnani is a single-handed provider delivering services from Church View Primary Care Centre, Beam Street, Nantwich, CW5 5NX to 8,876 patients under a contract held with NHS England. The National General Practice Profiles states that the demographics of the population are predominantly White British with 1.5% Asian, 0.4% Black, and 2% mixed or other. Information published by Office for Health Improvement and Disparities shows that deprivation within the practice population group is in the 9th decile (9 of 10). The lower the decile, the more deprived the practice population is relative to others. This assessment considered the demographics of the people using the service, the context the service was working within and how this impacted service delivery.
