Havengore House is a residential care home. They are currently registered to support adults and older adults with dementia, mental health conditions and physical disabilities.
There were 30 people living at the service on the date the inspection commenced. This was a comprehensive inspection of all quality statements, which was prompted due to the age of the last rating. The last comprehensive inspection of the service was in 2022, where the service was rated as Good.
We carried out an unannounced visit to the service on 26 May 2026.
At this inspection, the service demonstrated consistently high‑quality care across all areas. All key questions remain rated Good, with evidence showing that people received safe, effective, caring, responsive and well‑led support. Feedback from people, relatives and professionals was overwhelmingly positive and reflected a stable, well‑managed service where good outcomes were consistently achieved.
People were supported safely by a provider that had strong systems in place to identify, manage and reduce risks. A proactive culture of safety was evident. People, relatives and professionals expressed confidence in the safety of the service and in staff’s ability to respond appropriately to changing needs.
Care and support were effective and based on best practice. People’s needs were thoroughly assessed and reviewed regularly in partnership with them. Evidence showed that people’s health and wellbeing were promoted, with access to healthcare and rehabilitation support contributing to improved quality of life.
The service was caring, with staff consistently treating people with kindness, dignity and respect. Observations and feedback showed that staff developed meaningful relationships with people and took time to understand their preferences, backgrounds and emotional needs.
The service was responsive to people’s needs. Care planning was person-centred, detailed and regularly reviewed, ensuring support reflected people’s current wishes and requirements.
The service was well led, with strong, visible leadership and effective governance systems.
Overall, the service provided consistently safe, effective and person‑centred care, achieving positive outcomes for people and maintaining high standards across all areas.
