Our current view of the service

We carried out this announced on-site inspection on 17 June 2025.
We found the practice had met regulations.
Infection control procedures in place were effective.
The practice had effective systems to identify and manage risks.
Recruitment procedures reflected current legislation and there was effective leadership and a culture of continuous improvement.
Patients’ care and treatment was provided in line with current guidance.
Patients were treated with dignity and respect and at the time of our inspection, could access care, support and treatment when required.
The practice is in Liverpool and provides NHS and private dental care and treatment for adults and children.
There was step-free access to the practice via a portable ramp and car parking spaces, including dedicated parking for disabled people, were available near the practice.
The practice had 6 treatment rooms. The total number of staff was 23. During the inspection we spoke with 4 dentists, 2 dental nurses, the compliance lead and the practice manager. We gathered feedback from staff and spoke to a range of staff during our inspection.

Prior to our inspection, we asked the practice to encourage patients to share their views of the service with us. We received feedback from 5 patients. On the day of our inspection, we saw patient feedback from a further 10 patients, who had left online reviews.
Patient feedback provided a positive view of the dental team and care provided by the practice.
Comments included:
“I have been a patient all my life now my children attend the practice also. It has always been a very welcoming and friendly experience at every visit. Even more so now with my children as my eldest has been diagnosed with autism and struggles with interaction. [They are] made to feel so comfortable and the staff are amazing with [them]. I never struggle to get [them] to an appointment”
“My self and my children have been with this practice for years we always get great care from all the staff very friendly and professional and keep me updated on all appointments and any other information I need to know”
“Lovely friendly staff go above and beyond to help rang for an emergency appointment got one the same day and can't thank my dentist enough for fixing my tooth the same day - amazing work”
“Very good excellent service made welcome and friendly staff very hard working staff”
Patients commented positively about the standards of cleanliness.
Patients felt able to book appointments within an acceptable timescale for their needs and said they had enough time during their appointment without feeling rushed.
Patients told us they were given clear information to help them make an informed choice about their treatment and any associated costs. They were involved in decisions about their care.
Patients told us that when they were prescribed medicines, sufficient information was given.
Patients told us that they were supported to maintain their oral health and were provided with appropriate information and resources.
The practice shared patient feedback with the team. We were told this was reviewed and where suggestions had been made, appropriate action would be taken.
