During a routine inspection
The service kept all examination records and imaging records on an electronic database. The database was an integrated system linked to the local acute hospital trust, which meant information was available to hospital colleagues should hospital treatment be needed at a later date. One patient said 'This has been a quick, efficient and very pleasant experience. There was no waiting to be seen it was straight in at my appointment time and over and done with in 15 minutes. I did not get stressed and my results will be with my GP by the end of the day.'
The provider had taken steps to provide care in an environment that was suitably designed and adequately maintained. Patients told us 'The clinic room is very clean and hygienic.'
Patients were protected from unsafe or unsuitable equipment because the provider had ensured the equipment used in the service was serviced and maintained and service certificates were available for inspection.
The provider was qualified as a GP with a specialist interest and qualifications in ultrasound. There was an effective quality assurance in place and patients who spoke with us said they found the provider to be 'Extremely professional, competent and approachable'.
