During a routine inspection

People were given appropriate information about the service and the treatment they received. We spoke with four people who used the service who told us they understood the treatment choices available to them. One person told us, "The dentist went through my options with me. He explained everything really well. It was really clear and he asked me at the end if I understood or if I needed to ask anything." Another person said, "My dentist at this practice is brilliant. I've only recently joined. When I went in for my appointment, she introduced herself, and really put me at ease. I've been back two or three times now, and each time she's talked to me the whole way through my treatment, checking that I'm ok. I've been really impressed."

Care and treatment was planned and delivered in a way that was intended to ensure people's safety and welfare. People told us they were happy with the care and treatments they had received. One person said, "It's absolutely great, I've had a great service."

Staff training was kept up to date so that staff could care for people safely and to an appropriate standard. We found people were protected from the risk of infection because appropriate guidance had been followed and there was an effective system in place to monitor and assess the quality of the service.
