Kindness, compassion and dignity
Staff treated patients with kindness, respect and compassion. We observed positive interactions between staff and patients both in person and on the telephone. Staff displayed an understanding of patients’ needs and showed warmth and compassion to patients.
Patient feedback provided a positive view of the dental team and care provided by the practice.
Patient comments included that staff were welcoming and attentive, acted with integrity, and showed compassion.
Comments included, “Dentist is always cheerful and puts me at ease.” And “Outstanding care from the dental doctors also the nurses. We have health anxiety and as you can imagine we're not fans of the dentist, but [ ] are amazing dentists They are always patient and reassuring and do their very professional best by their patients. With my anxiety I find it hard to trust doctors but always put my trust in them. The receptionists are always nice and welcoming, always able to get an appointment. I highly recommend this surgery to family and friends.”
Patients said staff were professional, courteous, and considerate.
Patients felt they were treated as individuals, and their personal and cultural needs were respected.
We were provided with the results of the practice’s annual a patient survey. We saw that the responses received each year were wholly positive.
People received care from staff who were aware of their responsibility to respect people’s diversity and human rights, and of the importance of privacy and confidentiality.
Staff felt respected, valued and supported in their roles, and their wellbeing was supported.
Staff told us, “It is a good place to work because the team are supportive, friendly, and work well together. Everyone helps each other out.” And “I have worked here for 5 years and the current team we have are without a doubt the best I’ve seen, we are all supportive of each other and get along well, like a little family.”
