Date of assessment: 10th to 20th February 2026. Saintbridge House Nursing and Residential home is a residential care home providing personal and nursing care to up to 36 people in one adapted building. At the time of our inspection, Saintbridge House Nursing and Residential home was providing care for 26 people.

During the assessment, we observed a calm and welcoming environment where people appeared comfortable and well supported.

Care plans were detailed and person-centred, supporting staff to deliver care in line with people’s assessed needs and preferences.

Risks to people were appropriately assessed and managed, with clear guidance in place for staff to mitigate identified risks and keep people safe.

At the time of our assessment, processes were in place to ensure sufficient numbers of staff on duty to be able to meet people’s needs. Staff had access to appropriate training and demonstrated the skills and knowledge required for their roles. Throughout the assessment we observed a calm and organised environment, with staff having time to support people in an unrushed and responsive way.

The home was clean, well maintained and suitably adapted to meet people’s needs. People’s rooms were personalised with their own belongings, helping to promote a homely atmosphere. Communal areas were welcoming and supported people to spend time together if they wished.

Staff consistently demonstrated exceptional kindness, compassion and respect in all interactions with people, ensuring their individual needs and preferences were fully understood and met. There was a strong emphasis on building meaningful relationships, supported by excellent continuity of staff, which enabled people to receive highly personalised and consistent care from staff who knew them well. Call bells were responded to promptly, and requests for support were anticipated and acted upon without delay, reflecting a proactive and highly responsive approach to care.

The service was extremely well led. The registered manager and leadership team were visible within the home and demonstrated excellent oversight of quality and safety. The home worked in partnership exceptionally with professionals to support positive outcomes for people.
