During a routine inspection

The practice provided routine dental treatment for people from vulnerable groups in the community, both adults and children. They provided intravenous and conscious sedation when required. On the day of our inspection one of the community dentists, a dental nurse and the business manager were on site. We spoke with four people following their treatment. One person told us that they were very happy with everything. They said there was good access and ease of parking. They said the dentist had explained the treatment options and the cost involved. This meant the person could make an informed decision. The person confirmed that they had completed a new questionnaire on their health and had brought a copy of their current medication as requested. The person said 'I'm very satisfied.' Another person told us that they were having a number of different treatments and these had been explained to them prior to treatment. They said the staff spoke with them throughout treatment and told them to raise their hand if they wished the treatment to stop. Another person told us that had a medical condition which was the reason they had been referred here and said the staff understood their condition and how to provide safe treatment.
