Accommodation for persons who require nursing or personal care

Condition of this registration relating to carrying out this regulated activity
The registered provider cannot accommodate any other service users at Arncliffe Court Care Home until 5 September 2026.
The registered provider must notify the Care Quality Commission of any new managers including registered managers and if they leave, when they are due to complete their notice period, have their employment terminated or if they voluntarily resign within 5 working days of becoming aware.
The registered provider must provide an action plan by 4pm on 30 May 2026, outlining how they plan to develop a robust system for managing accidents and incidents to ensure oversight and mitigate the impact and risk of harm to service users.
The registered provider must provide an action plan by 4pm on 15 June 2026 outlining how they plan to develop a robust governance system to ensure that the location maintains a safe and comfortable level of hygiene and repair (including, but not limited to, fixtures and furniture in service users’ bedrooms, doors, and fire exits), clear and accurate care plans, comprehensive risk and capacity assessments, and daily record-keeping demonstrating how service users’ specific needs are being met.
The registered provider must ensure that all service users’ rooms are fitted with working call bells by 31 May 2026. The registered provider must provide evidence of this being actioned by 4pm on 8 June 2026.
The registered provider must provide a copy of their medicines audits by 4pm on the second Monday of every month. The medicines audits must show that the provider has checked:
a. all systems for managing medicines safely.
b. medicines are given ‘when required’ (PRN)
c. stock levels are accurate
d. medicine care plans are in place and followed
e. medicines are refrigerated where required
f. temperature monitoring of areas used to store medicines is recorded in line with the registered provider’s policies.
The registered provider’s audits must also confirm that all medicines are given and recorded safely and exactly as prescribed. This includes:
a. topical medicines
b. Patches
c. thickeners added to fluids
d. time-specific medicines (including those containing paracetamol).
The registered provider must provide evidence of staff training and competency checks, for all staff who administer medicine, by 4pm on the second Monday of each month.
The registered provider must provide all accident and incident records, along with evidence of their analysis, lessons learned, and actions taken to prevent recurrence. These records are to be provided by 4pm on the second Monday of each month.
The registered provider must Inform the Care Quality Commission of what steps they intend to undertake and implement to significantly strengthen the leadership team, leadership, and oversight arrangements at Arncliffe Court Care Home. The registered provider must provide the Care Quality Commission by 4pm on 15 June 2026, evidence of the steps taken to implement the steps to strengthen those leadership arrangements including any monitoring data or audits undertaken to provide reassurance those arrangements have been implemented.
Terms of this registration relating to carrying out this regulated activity
The registered provider must only accommodate a maximum of 150 service users at Arncliffe Court Care Home.
The registered provider must not provide nursing care under accommodation for persons who require nursing or personal care at Arncliffe Court Care Home,
