Mount Park is registered as a 2 bedded care home for people with a learning disability and/or autistic people. However, at the time of our assessment the service had been adapted to be a single person care home to meet the needs of the person living there.

This assessment was undertaken due to the time since our last inspection. We reviewed 7 priority statements.

Safeguarding policies and procedures were in place to ensure people were kept safe. Staff assessed risks to people’s safety and implemented management plans to manage and mitigate those risks. Safe staffing levels were in place and staff had the knowledge and skills to undertake their duties and provide high quality care to the person using the service.

Staff assessed people’s needs to ensure care delivery continued to meet their needs. Staff adhered to the Mental Capacity Act 2005 and liaised with those who were legally authorised to make decisions on the person’s behalf.

Staff supported the person to make day to day decisions and respected those decisions. Staff were aware of how the person communicated and how they made their wishes known. Staff were aware of what was important to the person and staff supported them to engage in a variety of activities and experiences.
