Accommodation for persons who require nursing or personal care

  • Dr Paul Soon Luke Leong is responsible for these services.
  • Mrs Evangeline Elizabeth Girling is the registered manager for these services at this location.
Condition of this registration relating to carrying out this regulated activity

You must immediately review the risk of dehydration of all service users and take action where appropriate to ensure all service users are not at risk of dehydration.

The registered provider must provide by 28 October 2019 the Commission with evidence that effective systems and processes have been implemented to ensure the safety and quality of the service provided in carrying out the regulated activity.

The registered provider must ensure that a full review of all care plans and risk assessments take place for all service users residing at Ralphland Care Home. This must be completed by 25 October 2019.The registered provider must provide the Commission with evidence this exercise is complete. The evidence should be included in the report as set out below in point 6.

The registered provider must provide the Commission with an electrical installation condition report for the location by 16 October 2019.

By 5PM on Friday 18 October and the last Monday of each month thereafter, you must send to the Commission a written action plan. The action plan must set out risks and actions taken in relation to:

• Governance systems and management responsibilities

• Assessment and referral

• Risk assessments and care plans

• Dehydration and choking risks

• Environmental safety and fire management

The action plan must set out how each risk is being managed, lessons learned and what action has been taken to ensure that the same risks do no emerge in the future.

The registered provider must not admit any new service users to Ralphland Care Home without the prior written agreement of the Commission. This extends to any current service user who is admitted and discharged from hospital and includes respite admissions and the re-admission of any service user who has been resident at the home at any time and who may be seeking to return.

Terms of this registration relating to carrying out this regulated activity

The Registered Provider must only accommodate a maximum of 39 service users at Ralphland Care Home.

The Registered Provider must not provide nursing care under accommodation for persons who require nursing or personal care at Ralphland Care Home.
