10 December 2019

During a routine inspection

We carried out this announced inspection on 10 December 2019 under section 60 of the Health and Social Care Act 2008 as part of our regulatory functions. We planned the inspection to check whether the registered provider was meeting the legal requirements in the Health and Social Care Act 2008 and associated regulations. The inspection was led by a Care Quality Commission, (CQC), inspector who was supported by a specialist dental adviser.

To get to the heart of patients’ experiences of care and treatment, we always ask the following five questions:

• Is it safe?

• Is it effective?

• Is it caring?

• Is it responsive to people’s needs?

• Is it well-led?

These questions form the framework for the areas we look at during the inspection.

19 February 2014

During a routine inspection

As part of this inspection we were able to speak with three people who were using the practice service on the day of our visit. All of them were very pleased with their treatment and told us staff treated them with dignity and respect. One person told us, "the dentist is very good and efficient." Another person commented, "I am very happy with the service and the staff are quite friendly."

Care and treatment was planned and delivered in a way that was intended to ensure people's safety and welfare.

People were protected from the risk of infection because appropriate guidance had been followed. People were cared for in a clean, hygienic environment.

People were cared for, or supported by, suitably qualified, skilled and experienced staff.

The provider had an effective system to regularly assess and monitor the quality of service that people receive.
