During a routine inspection

We found that the service offered people detailed information about the different services on offer. Private and confidential consultations were available with a nurse and testing was handled with sensitivity.

People had given their signed consent to treatment and we saw evidence that the risks of some vaccines and immunisations had been explained in full. People were given the choice about whether to proceed with treatment.

Full medical and family histories were taken so that people could be given the most appropriate and safe treatment for their individual circumstances. We spoke with four people about their experiences of the service. One person told us : ' I was very happy with it all'. Another person said; ' It was what I expected and much more'.

Medicines had been appropriately managed by the service and we found that staff had been fully trained to administer them.

A recent survey of people conducted by the service, found that 100% of participants were satisfied with their experience. Action had been taken to rectify an issue about incoming calls. Regular auditing was being used to identify areas for improvement and there were a wide range of policies in place to ensure consistent delivery of the service.

During a routine inspection

People told us that they found the service to offer a high quality, professional service. People said that the staff were friendly and all the information they required was provided to them. One person said, "They treated my daughter and they were lovely; just perfect. They gave me a call when I asked and I called a few times before our appointment with questions which they answered". We found that the service respected people and took action to ensure that their care and welfare needs were met. We found that staff were recruited properly and that people were treated by staff who had relevant qualifications and experience.
