Updated 17 November 2025
Date of Assessment: 24 and 25 November 2025. The service provides personal care and accommodation for persons who require nursing care to older and younger adults, some of whom may be living with dementia. This assessment was carried out in response to information of concern and as well as follow up to the last inspection. This inspection assessed the service against the Safe, Effective, Caring, Responsive and Well-led domains. People received kind, compassionate and person-centred care that respected their dignity, individuality and independence. Staff understood people’s preferences, communication needs and protected characteristics, and people were supported to make choices and maintain control over their daily lives. Families felt involved and knew how to raise concerns or complaints.
Governance and oversight were not always fully effective. While systems were in place to monitor risks, incidents, medicines and outcomes, these were not always consistently applied. Learning from incidents was not always shared effectively with staff, and documentation did not always fully reflect care delivered. Some weaknesses were identified in medicines management, staffing oversight and the monitoring of risks. Leaders acknowledged these issues and took action to ensure there was no impact on people using the service.
The service worked effectively with healthcare professionals and partners to assess needs, plan care and support positive outcomes. Care was generally evidence-based, and people were supported to manage their health, access services and plan for future needs, including end-of-life care.
At the last inspection there was a breach of the regulation relating to staffing. At this assessment we found the service was no longer in breach of this regulation.
