During an assessment under our new approach
We carried out this announced on-site inspection on 23 April 2025.
We found the practice had met regulations.
Infection control procedures in place were effective.
The practice had effective systems to identify and manage risks.
Recruitment procedures reflected current legislation and there was effective leadership and a culture of continuous improvement.
Patients’ care and treatment was provided in line with current guidance.
Patients were treated with dignity and respect and at the time of our inspection, could access care, support and treatment when required.
Identics is part of Tooth Club a dental group provider. The practice is in Maidstone, Kent and provides private dental care and treatment for adults and children.
The service provides cosmetic treatments, some of which are not in scope of CQC regulation and are not covered in our inspection.
There was step-free access to the practice and car parking spaces available, including dedicated parking for disabled people, near the practice.
The practice had 4 treatment rooms.At the time of our inspection, there was a total of 14 staff, of which there were 7 dentists, 3 qualified dental nurses, 2 trainee dental nurses, 1 treatment coordinator, 1 receptionist and the practice manager.
Staff feedback forms were shared with the team ahead of the inspection, allowing them an opportunity to confidentially share their views about the practice. We received 4 responses, which were considered as part of the inspection.
During the inspection we spoke to a range of staff during our inspection, including 1 dentist, 2 dental nurses, and the practice manager. We also spoke with the clinical director from the organisation, and one of the practice managers from another practice within the dental group.
