During a routine inspection

At the time of our inspection the service was providing care for 33 people. We spoke with nine of these people or with their families. All of the people we spoke with gave us positive feedback about the service. One of them said, 'I like staff who call to see me because they're nice people, always polite. I know I'm in safe hands'. A relative said, 'I've been very impressed with the care my mum gets. The staff couldn't be kinder to her and they provide her with company as well as helping her do everyday things. I'm very reassured that they call to see her'.

We saw that people or their representatives had been given accurate information about the fees they would have to pay. Records showed that people had been correctly charged for the care they had received.

People who used the service said that staff consulted with them about how they wanted to be supported. They also said that they received all of the support and care they needed.

We saw that the provider had measures in place to help safeguard people from abuse.

Staff had received training and they had the skills and knowledge they needed to meet people's needs for assistance in the right way.

We saw that quality checks were completed to help ensure that people consistently received a good standard of service.
