During a check to make sure that the improvements required had been made
During this review we found that the necessary improvements had been made. The arrangements for safeguarding vulnerable adults from abuse or neglect had been strengthened through the development of procedures, awareness and training. The management procedures and systems had been developed including those relating to employment and health and safety. People's care plans had been reviewed and copies were now held in the office as well as in people's homes. Training in core areas had been organised to provide staff with the knowledge and skills they needed to carry out their role safely and competently. We spoke on the telephone with two of the permanent care staff who confirmed that they had attended recent training that they had found to be very helpful.
We found that appropriate action had been taken and although some staff training had not yet taken place we judged that the risks were much reduced and the service was compliant.
