During a routine inspection
On the day of our visit there were no patients visiting for the regulated activity that this provider was registered with us for. Most of the providers work was related to activities that do not need to be regulated. To ensure we had the views of the people who attended the practice we asked general questions about the cleanliness of the service, questions related to the documentation and if patients had knowledge of the complaints system.
The people were complementary about the service provided. We were told they were given enough time to explain what their problem was and never felt rushed. We were told the premises were always clean and tidy.
People told us they had made the decision to attend the practice and knew exactly why they were attending therefore consent was never an issue.
A medical history was obtained at the first consultation appointment and people were asked if they had any allergies.
We saw that the treatment rooms were clean, and well maintained. People we spoke with were happy with the standard of cleanliness in the practice.
We saw that recruitment checks had been made prior to staff working at the practice.
All the people we spoke with were happy with the service, and had never felt the need to make a complaint.
