All Inspections

10 December 2013

During a routine inspection

We carried out this inspection to check on the care and welfare of people. Following the inspection we conducted telephone interviews with four people and one relative. On the day of the inspection we spoke with two members of staff and the registered manager.

People told us they were able to give their verbal consent before any support was given. One person said, "My consent was given before staff supported me and I was not forced to do what I did not want to do".

We found that people's support needs were identified and this was done with people's involvement. One person said, "I was involved in the setting of my goals".

We found the provider had a system in place to ensure people were kept safe from abuse.

The provider ensured all staff recruited were suitable to work with vulnerable people.

The provider had a complaints process in place to enable people to share their views.
