Staff treated patients with kindness, respect and compassion. We observed positive interactions between staff and patients both in person and on the telephone. Staff displayed an understanding of patients’ needs and showed warmth and compassion to patients.

Patient feedback provided a positive view of the dental team and care provided by the practice.

Patient comments included that staff were welcoming and attentive, acted with integrity, and showed compassion.

Patients said staff were professional, courteous, and considerate.

Patients felt they were treated as individuals, and their personal and cultural needs were respected.

The practice undertook an annual patient survey and we were provided with the findings. We saw that the practice recorded all patient comments and used these as an opportunity for supporting ongoing improvements.

People received care from staff who were aware of their responsibility to respect people’s diversity and human rights, and of the importance of privacy and confidentiality.

Staff felt respected, valued and supported in their roles, and their wellbeing was supported. Staff said the practice team was like a family.

One staff member told us, “This is a great place to be. Everyone is made to feel valued and involved – and we are so well looked after.”

Another said, “I am treated as a person and not just a member of staff, we are all valued equally and work really well together as one team.”
