Responsive
Responsive – this means we looked for evidence that the service met people’s needs.
At our last assessment we rated this key question good. At this assessment the rating has remained good. This meant people’s needs were met through good organisation and delivery.
This service scored 64 (out of 100) for this area. Find out what we look at when we assess this area and How we calculate these scores.
Person-centred Care
Care plans for people did not always contain sufficient information for staff to provide person centred care. Records lacked detail and did not show how people were offered choices in line with their needs and preferences. People told us they were happy with the service they received and felt staff supported them well, listened and provided good care, and offered patience. The registered manager had begun to update care plans to contain more person centred support and identified the need for staff to improve the recording of choices and support provided to people.
Care provision, Integration and continuity
We did not look at Care provision, Integration and continuity during this assessment. The score for this quality statement is based on the previous rating for Responsive.
Providing Information
We did not look at Providing Information during this assessment. The score for this quality statement is based on the previous rating for Responsive.
Listening to and involving people
Systems in place for people to share feedback and ideas or raise complaints about their care, did not always allow for people’s capacity to be considered. However, the service actively sought feedback from people and relatives and sent surveys and completed regular reviews with people. The managers also reviewed all complaints received monthly and looked for trends and what was working well and areas for improvement.
