All Inspections

4 February 2013

During a routine inspection

We met with three service users and three members of staff. All of the people using the service told us that they were satisfied with the quality of care they received. One person described the staff as "very helpful". Another said that their care had been "great". People told us that they had been able to book an appointment at a time that was convenient to them and that they had been seen on time.

People using the service felt fully involved in their appointments and said that they were treated with dignity and respect. One person told us they had been offered a chaperone and that supported the information displayed.

People attending the clinic told us that they knew what the purpose of the health assessment was and that they had fully consented to the appointments.

Staff told us they felt safe working in the clinic and there had been no concerns raised in relation to safeguarding.

The facility was in good order and was well maintained. There were effective processes in place to ensure the safety and security of the building and the equipment used.

There were effective processes in place to monitor service user feedback and staff were also able to raise any issues or concerns as the felt the managers were supportive and approachable.

The process in place for the effective storage and destruction of records was robust.

We saw staff interact with service users in a friendly and professional way and information was conveyed clearly.
