All Inspections

During a routine inspection

We were not able to speak with people who used the service. This was because there was only one person present at the time of inspection and the consultation had commenced. However, we did get to observe the discharge and information giving process at the end of the consultation. We reviewed six care records and found that in each file a detailed consent form was in place, which included the potential risks and complications and how their personal information may be used. We reviewed the feedback which people had provided and found peoples' experiences to be positive.

We also saw that each person had been asked to consent to their GP being contacted with regards to the assessment they were undergoing. People were protected from unsafe or unsuitable equipment because the provider ensured maintenance and regular checks were undertaken.

Staff spoken with confirmed they were appropriately trained and qualified to undertake their role. Staff were observed being professional and caring in their approach to dealing with people and telephone queries.

Our observations of the clinic demonstrated to us that it was well equipped and staff told us they had access to the equipment they needed. An appropriate complaints system was in place and we viewed evidence of complaint review and resolution.
