During an assessment under our new approach

We carried out this announced on-site inspection on 2 February 2026.

We found the practice had met regulations.

The practice had effective systems to identify and manage risks, including infection prevention and control.

Staff had the skills, knowledge and experience to carry out their roles.

Recruitment procedures reflected current legislation and there was effective leadership and a culture of continuous improvement.

Staff provided care and treatment in line with current guidance. They treated patients with dignity and respect and ensured access to care, support, and treatment when required.

Witley Dental Practice is in Surrey and provides NHS and private dental care and treatment for adults and children.

There was step-free access to the practice and car parking spaces available, including dedicated parking near the practice.

The practice had 1 treatment room. At the time of our inspection, there was a total of 2 staff, of which there was 1 dentist and 1 dental nurse. We gathered feedback from staff and spoke to a range of staff during our inspection, including 1 dentist and 1 dental nurse.

During a routine inspection

Five people completed a questionnaire about the practice. They were all very positive about the service they received. People's comments included 'Very good, very helpful experienced and competent staff' and 'Very good, excellent.'

We found that people had been involved in decisions about their treatment. They had been provided with verbal information about their care and treatment although they had not been provided with any written information.

People's needs in relation to their dental care had been assessed and a treatment plan agreed with them before they received treatment. There were arrangements to deal with medical emergencies.

We found that the surgery was clean and hygienic. There were procedures in place to manage the risk of infection that staff had followed.

We found that not all of the required information in relation to the recruitment of staff was available.

There were systems in place to monitor the quality of the service provided and to seek people's views.
