Our view of the service

The assessment was carried out on 17 to 18 November 2025.

We carried out this assessment in line with our routine assessment priorities. We assessed 32 quality statements for the five key questions: safe, effective, caring, responsive and well-led.

At this assessment we rated the service as good.

The service had effective systems and processes in place to provide safe and high‑quality care. Staff ensured that people were treated as individuals and that their care, support, and treatment were aligned with their needs and preferences.

Staff were appropriately skilled, understood their responsibilities in relation to safeguarding and safety, and treated people with kindness, compassion, and dignity.

Communication with partner organisations, including the hospital, was effective. Staff provided clear and comprehensive handovers, and leaders met regularly with hospital representatives to share updates and review performance.

Leaders had a clear vision for the service, supported by systems that identified risks to people and to the organisation. Staff reported an open and supportive culture, and we found evidence of ongoing innovation within the service.

People's experience of this service

People were able to provide feedback in various ways, including speaking directly with staff during their journey, by telephone, through feedback forms, or via social media. We reviewed several positive comments left by people about the service.

During our assessment, people told us staff were kind, professional, and focused on meeting their needs.

Clear, up-to-date complaints and feedback policies described how the service responded to both positive and negative feedback and how any learning was shared with staff.

We observed positive interactions in which staff were kind, caring, and ensured that patients were comfortable.
