The service had enough staff employed to keep people safe. Pre-employment checks were carried out to ensure recruitment was safe. Staff had received inductions and relevant training to support people safely.
People had care plans and risk assessments in place; however, we found some risk assessments did not contain sufficient information for staff to keep people safe from the risk of avoidable harm. The service had a range of policies and procedures in place for staff to follow to work towards keeping people safe and keeping the service running smoothly.
The service had audits in place; however, audits did not pick up on some of the issues found at the inspection with people’s Medicines Administration Records (MAR), and assessments.
