Caring
We looked for evidence the service involved people and treated them with compassion, kindness, dignity and respect. At our last assessment, we rated this key question as good. At this assessment, the rating remains the same.
This service scored 75 (out of 100) for this area. Find out what we look at when we assess this area and How we calculate these scores.
Kindness, compassion and dignity
The service always treated people with kindness, empathy and compassion and respected their privacy and dignity. Staff treated colleagues from other organisations with kindness and respect.
The service had arrangements to promote people’s privacy. The service performed better than the national average in the results of the 2026 National GP Patient Survey. This showed people felt listened to and felt they were treated with kindness. For example, 92% of respondents to the survey felt the healthcare professional at their last appointment was good at treating them with care and concern, compared to a national average of 86%. Friends and family data averaged at 91% over the months April 2025 to June 2026 for patients that would recommend the practice to a friend or family.
We received two comments from patients who described the service as always treating patients with kindness, compassion and dignity. As part of our assessment, we also looked at unverified online reviews about the practice, and the practice was currently at 2.8 stars out of 5. We discussed the reviews with the practice who were aware of the issue and had implemented further staff training in an effort to improve. After the inspection the provider informed us that a dedicated member of staff had been made responsible for monitoring and replying to online reviews, and to attempt to make direct contact to resolve any issues.
