The service supports people in their own home. The service can support people of any age, people with learning disabilities, mental health conditions, people with dementia and physical disabilities. At the time of the assessment, 63 people were receiving a regulated activity.
We assessed the service against ‘Right support, right care, right culture’ guidance to make judgements about whether the provider guaranteed autistic people and people with a learning disabilityrespect, equality, dignity, choices, independence and good access to local communities that most people take for granted.
People were supported in line with this guidance where appropriate. For example, people were supported to be independent and have choice and control over their lives. People were supported to access the community.
Risks were assessed and mitigated. People’s medicines were managed safely. Staff had received an appropriate level of training and felt well supported.
People’s needs were assessed prior to them using the service. Staff said they worked well together as a team. There was information in people’s care plans about their health conditions and how these affected people.
Staff spoke positively about the management of the service. Staff said they felt able to raise any concerns and felt listened to. The manager had good oversight of the service.
