We spoke with the manager who told us they had taken immediate action following the last inspection, to ensure all staff were suitably trained and qualified in first aid.

We saw the training database and certificates for staff, which showed they had attended recent training and their knowledge was up to date.

We were satisfied that the provider had taken prompt action to ensure compliance and staff were appropriately qualified and able to respond to first aid situations should they arise.

People told us they were very happy with their care and they described the staff as 'first class'. People, staff and other professionals were asked for their views on a regular basis by the managers of the service.

Staff were enthusiastic and told us that they enjoyed their role and they understood their responsibilities to care for people and to keep them safe from harm. Staff showed that they understood how to follow safeguarding procedures if they had any concerns about the people for whom they cared.

Staff told us that they were well supported to do their jobs. We found there was no evidence to show that staff had attended any recent first aid training, although they were encouraged to attend other short courses relevant to their roles.
