During a routine inspection

The people we talked with told us that the service was good. They said the staff treated them with respect. People said, "They are excellent. Always on time, caring and kind" and 'They are punctual, professional and polite'.

People told us they were regularly asked if their service was satisfactory. They told us that the senior staff assessed their needs. In the care plans we looked at we saw the instructions for how staff minimised risks to people's health and well-being. One person told us the care was, 'Just as agreed'.

Staff also told us they felt supported to work effectively.

The provider had systems in place that enabled them to identify problems swiftly and act upon them to keep people safe at all times. This meant that the service was managed well.

During a routine inspection

People told us that they were very happy with the service they received. They told us that the staff were, "Very pleasant people" and, "They know what they're doing". One relative told us, "If all care staff were like them there would be no problems".

People told us that they felt safe with the staff delivering their care. They also said they were always treated with respect.

We found that care plans were up to date and gave staff the information they needed to provide support for people. People told us that they had been involved in discussions about the care and support they received.

We found that the provider had a comprehensive safeguarding policy in place. The manager was familiar with the referrals process and all staff had received safeguarding training.

All staff had received induction training. The provider showed us a training matrix which they used to ensure that staff training was kept up to date. Staff told us that they had great confidence in the management and that they felt well supported.
