During a routine inspection

We spoke with parents of young people who had received support from Walnuts Care Ltd. They told us that they were very happy with the service that was provided. One person told us that ' It is such a good idea as the members of staff know them so well, it would take a long while for my child to get used to someone they did not know'. Another parent told us 'The staff are great, my child feels safe when they are with them'.

We found that Walnuts Care Ltd employed staff that were often known to the young people through their education provider The Walnuts School. We saw that staff were able to offer a consistent approach and were familiar with the needs of young people with autism.

We found that the fee structure was clear and parents signed time sheets which confirmed the hours that staff had worked.

We found that young people were supported in a way which ensured their safety and welfare

We found that the service was effective and well managed.

During a routine inspection

We spoke with two people who used the service and they told us that they liked the staff who worked with them. One person said that they had received support which had helped them to become more independent and learn new skills.

We spoke with family members who were extremely pleased with the support provided by Walnuts Care. They told us that they were 'extremely confident in the service' and that the manager was 'very dedicated'. We saw that one family member had contacted Walnuts Care and said 'Can't thank you enough and keep up the good work '.
